SETUP AND OPERATION
First use
1. Position the outboard electric motor at the stern of the vessel in the
storage position.
2. Carefully pull on the rear screws until they grip in the suspension.
3. Press the rocker arm down and use the handle to slowly lower the motor
into the water.
4. Use the depth adjusting ring to adjust the height of the motor (the
recommended operating depth is between 150 mm and 300 mm below
the water surface).
5. Once you are sure that the engine is at a safe depth, where there is no
risk of touching the bottom of the lake, river or other body of water, you
can tighten the rear propellers firmly.
6. Once you have tightened the rear screws, make sure the batteries are
connected to the motor. Make sure that the knob is in neutral position (0)
and that the nuts are securely connected to the clamps to ensure a good
connection.
7. Set the desired speed and direction using the turning handle on the tiller.
8. Do not change from full speed forward to full speed backward without
stopping the engine, otherwise engine damage may result.
Operation of the engine
The delivery of the engine does not include batteries. Select a battery with
12V (24V for 86 LBS motor) output power. It is recommended to use a deep
cycle battery or ship battery, as they last longer and are harder to destroy.
On/off speed control
• Turn the knob clockwise to set one of the five forward speed levels.
• Turn the knob counterclockwise to set one of the 3 reverse speed levels.
• Move the knob to the position marked "0" to stop the engine.
