The following lessons are suggested in order to learn basic steps and bounces before moving onto more difficult,
complicated bounces. Before actually getting on and using the trampoline, you should read and understand all safety
instructions. A complete discussion and demonstration of body mechanics and trampoline guidelines should occur
between the supervisor and student as well. First make learning a rise and correct descent of the trampoline.

LESSON PLAN
1. Begin in a standing position, feet and shoulders apart, head up, looking at the
jumping surface.
2. Swing arms forward and up and around in a circular motion.
3. Bring the feet together when jumping and point the toes downward.
4. Keep your feet and shoulders well apart when you fall.
Train yourself to slow the run-up and stop on command by bending the knees
just before hitting the jumping mat.
1. Start with a basic jump without bouncing too high.
2. Land on knees, back straight, extended body and use your arms to maintain
balance.
3. Repeat a basic jump by swinging arms up.
Once assimilated, try half a turn to the left or right.
1. Brought to sitting position.
2. Place hands on the mat near the hips, not stick together.
3. Return to standing position by pushing with the hands.
Learn to bounce back in a sitting position and then add a bounce on knees, then
on hands and knees and repeat the cycle rebounds.
1. Start with a small rebound.
2. Land on the belly with your hands and arms stretched forward on the mat.
3. Push on the mat with arms to return to standing position.
Practice loop: Rebound on hands and knees, bouncing on belly, back on feet,
bounce while sitting and return on foot.
1. Start in the prone position. Push the hands of the left or right (depending on
how you want to run).
3. Hold the head and shoulders in the same direction and keep spine parallel to

4. Brought to prone position and return to standing position by pushing with the
hands and feet.
