ADjUSTING THE SLOTTING KNIfE
Slotting knife 9 prevents jamming the blade. It
should be adjusted so that the distance to top
of teeth and cutting depth must not exceed
5 mm (fig. 1). Tighten the slotting knife by Al-
len-head screw 11 on the rear of the immobile
guard.
ADjUSTING THE CUTTING DEPTH
Choose cutting depth 5 mm bigger than material
thickness. Loosen wing nut 3, adjust the cutting
depth by ruler 3 and tighten wing nut back.
ADjUSTING BEVEL CUTTING
Loosen wing nut 13, adjust the cutting angle
according to ruler 13 and tighten wing nut 13
again.
ADjUSTING THE SAW BLADE PARAL-
LEL POSITION TOWARDS THE BASE
PLATE (fIG.2)
We recommend to perform this adjustment in
authorised service centres for warranty and
post-warranty servicing of SPARKY power tools,
where the equipment for precise adjustment is
available. If necessary, the adjustment can be
performed according the operations listed be-
low, but any possible consequences are at cus-
tomer's expense.
- Unwind the four bolts 17, fixing the base
plate to the machine.
- Place the guide of the parallel guide 4 on the
short side of the base plate, the ruler shall lean
against the blade 18 along the whole length (as
shown on fig.2).
- Rotate the machine slightly, so the blade can
touch the ruler along the whole length.
- In this position, lubricate all screw threads
and the joints to the base plate with glue "Loctite
243" and fasten the screws with torque 1,5 Nm.
- Wait for 1 hour prior to initial operation of
the machine, so the glue can reach its maximum
strength.
CUTTING INDICATOR
The right slot in the saw base on the side of the
parallel guide is used as an indicator when cut-
ting vertically, and the left slot - when the blade
is inclined at 45
. A test cut is re commended.

Maintenance

WARNING: Always ensure that the
tool is switched off and unplugged before
attempting to perform inspection or mainte-
nance.
BRUSH REPLACEMENT
This power tool is equipped with auto-stop
brushes. When the carbon brushes are worn
out, the machine switches itself off. In this case
both brushes must be replaced simultaneously
with genuine brushes at SPARKY service centre
for warranty and post-warranty service.
GENERAL INSPECTION
Regularly inspect all fasteners and ensure they
are properly tightened. Should any of the screws
be loose, retighten it immediately to avoid haz-
ards.
If the replacement of the supply cord is neces-
sary, this has to be done by the manufacturer or
his agent in order to avoid a safety hazard.
CLEANING
For safe operation always keep the machine
and its ventilation slots clean.
Regularly check to see if any dust or foreign
matter has entered the ventilation slots and the
grills around the switches. Use a soft brush and/
or air jet to remove any accumulated dust. Wear
safety glasses to protect your eyes whilst clean-
ing.
Exterior plastic parts may be cleaned with a
damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary.
