To adjust the depth gauge to the required working depth, proceed as follows (Fig.7):
Measure back from the drill tip and move the depth stop back to the required measured depth.
The end of the depth stop will come into contact with the work surface when the required depth of
hole is reached.
4.5- Changing direction of rotation (4)
Forward drilling or screwing: set the direction of rotation lever (4) to the left (Fig.8).
Reverse screw: set the direction of rotation lever (4) to the right (Fig.9).
Note: the direction of rotation lever is locked when the On/Off trigger switch is activated.
Do not change the direction of rotation when the drill is running, wait till machine has come to
a complete stop.
4.6- Normal drill and hammer position (3)
Put the selector switch (3) on top of the drill housing to Drill
according to your required work (Fig.10).
4.7- Variable speed control (5)
Light pressure on the ON/OFF trigger switch (6) results in low speed, allowing drilling to begin in a
smooth, controlled manner. Further pressure on the switch results in an increase in speed.
The desired speed can be pre-selected with the thumb wheel (5) (Fig.11).
The rotational speed to be used depends upon the material being drilled.
4.8- Trigger switch (6)
4.8.1- Switching On and Off
To start the machine: squeeze the ON / OFF trigger switch (6) (Fig.12+13).
To stop the machine: release the ON / OFF trigger switch (6) (Fig.12+14).
4.8.2- Continuous operation
This machine is fitted with a locking button (7) allowing a "continuous running" operation (Fig.15).
Start the machine by pressing the On/Off trigger switch (6) and then press on the locking button (7)
for "continuous running" located on the side of the handle (8), release the ON / OFF trigger (6).
The machine will now run continuously without the need to maintain pressure on the ON / OFF
trigger switch (6).
To stop the machine: squeeze then release the ON / OFF trigger switch (6).
4.9- Inserting and removing a bit
Open chuck either electrically or manually.
Insert the selected drill/driver bit into the chuck (1).
Make sure that it is correctly inserted and centered.
Rotate the chuck outer ring until the drill/driver bit is gripped.
Using even torque tighten the chuck, either electrically or manually.
Note: it is recommended to wear protective gloves when changing / inserting the drill/driver bit.
