Programming the possible CVs
The CV-values are programmed as described in the manuals for Z21 / multi MAUS and Lok-
maus 2/R3.
To program the decoder it must be set into programming mode as described.
It is important that the decoder remains in programming mode after each programming proce-
dure (except address programming) and indicates this by periodic switching. If you do not want
to program any other values, allow the remaining switching cycles to expire, or program the CV80
to '0' to leave programming mode earlier.
You must remove all engines from the system, as they may accept the values for the respective
CV.

Purpose

Switching delay
The switching delay is the period between pressing the arrow key/key for switch positioning
and the reaction of the de-coupler.
35
Active-time
Active-time is the period that the de-coupler remains up before it lowers automatically.
38
Permanent program-
ming mode
Attention: If this function is activated the decoder will remain in programming mode until this
function is deactivated. The decoder will accept all programming commands it receives and
will not show programming mode by the usual periodic switching.

Value range
0-255 (Time derived from CV-value*0.065s; swit-
ching delay for CV 33=255 ca.16.5 seconds)
(Time derived from CV-value*0.065s; active-time
for CV35=255 ca.16.5 seconds)
If the active-times are too long the coil of the
de-coupler may heat up to the extend that the
overheating protection interrupts the power sup-
ply, lowering the de-coupler prematurely. Until the
coil has cooled down to a certain degree it is not
possible to carry out any de-coupling process.

1 activates the function; 0 de-activates the func-
tion.
