MC-410 user manual
This instrument is a conduc vity moisture meter specifi cally desi-
gned for the mber industry. The instrument has eight calibra on
scales, enabling the user to take accurate moisture measurements
in 150 wood species. Moisture measurements can be taken using
the integral pin electrodes, or using the heavy duty moisture
probe. When used with the temperature probe, the moisture
measurements are automa cally corrected with respect to tem-
perature.
Follow the recommenda on below for best measuring results:
1.
The moisture is unevenly spread inside the wood; do
not rely on one measurement only. Always make several
measurements.
2.
The electrodes shall be inserted 90 degrees into the wood.
Avoid twigs.
3.
Measure the wood temperature for automa c temperature
compensa on with the separate temperature sensor.
4.
Press the electrodes right-angled of the grain into the
wood.
5.
The indicated dampness is measured in %H2O.
