Installation of the Ergofilter® SP1 or SP1M filters:

Take the filter out of its unit packaging

Do not touch the mouth of the filter with your fingers but hold it by the circumference

Use the filter in the right direction because it is not reversible
-
Mount the cone on the spirometer (label side "tip") then connect the filter to the cone
Planned operators:
The SP1 and SP1M antibacterial filters should only be fitted by operators of the SPL10-USB. The operators of the SPL10-USB are health
professionals such as medical secretaries, nurses, doctors, pulmonologists, or any other specialist doctors who have received recognized and
comprehensive training in the use of spirometers.
Patient population
The patient population that can use this device is:
•
People over 4 years old
•
Wishing to perform spirometry with an SPL10-USB spirometer to assess their breathing capacities.
•
All people not suffering from a contraindication related to their respiratory condition
Medical contraindications to performing spirometry:
•
Current or recent pneumothorax
•
Recent pleural puncture or biopsy
•
Hemoptysis in progress
•
Severe asthma attack
•
Bacilliferous tuberculosis (risk to staff)
•
Bronchial infections, infectious lung disease
•
Acute asthma attack
•
Decompensation of chronic respiratory failure
•
Inability to perform breathing maneuvers; ventilatory motor incoordination
•
Abnormal pain and fatigue
•
Myocardial infarction <6 months
•
Laparotomy <6 months
