Installation
• If you want to install the device on a surface, attach the two mounting angles to the housing
with the corresponding screws and screw the device onto the mounting surface.
Only use the screws included in delivery to install the mounting angle to the device.
Other (longer) screws can damage parts in the device.
• If you want to stand the device on a surface, stick the rubber feet included in delivery to the
base of the device.
Inserting/replacing the battery of the remote control
When using the device for the first time, the battery of the remote control may al-
ready be protected from discharging by an insulation film. Remove this film before
operation, where required, by pulling it out of the battery compartment of the remote
control.
• Release the safety catch and remove the battery holder on the back of the remote control.
• Insert a new 3 V Lithium button cell CR2025, with the correct polarity. The correct polarity is
indicated on the remote control.
• Close the battery compartment. The latch must snap audibly into place.
• If the remote control is no longer functioning properly, or the range decreases, the battery
is running out and must be replaced with a battery of the same type. Replace the battery as
described above.
Connecting inputs and outputs
• Connect the HDMI outputs on your playback device to the HDMI inputs (9) on the Quad
Multi-Viewer.
• Connect the HDMI input on your screen to the HDMI output (3) on the Quad Multi-Viewer.
All source devices must be set to the same image resolution.
Mains connection
The mains socket to which the power adapter is connected must be near the device
and easily accessible, so that the device can be quickly and easily isolated from the
mains power supply in the event of any fault.
Make sure that the voltage indicated on the power unit corresponds with the mains
voltage of your power supply. Never try to operate the power supply at a different
voltage.
Be careful when handling the power adapters and mains connectors. Mains voltage
may cause fatal electric shocks.
Do not leave the cables trailing free; route them in an orderly and professional man-
ner to prevent accidents.
• Connect the low-voltage plug of the enclosed power unit to the power supply connection (1)
on the Quad Multi-Viewer and tighten the locknut.
• Plug the power adapter into a wall socket.
• The display (2) lights up once the Quad Multi-Viewer is connected to the electricity supply.
• Once an active source is recognised, the display lights up for the corresponding HDMI input (8).
Operation

Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable and do not belong in the household waste. Dispo-
se of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove the battery if there is one inserted and dispose of it separately from the
product.
b) Batteries/rechargeable batteries
You as the ultimate consumer are legally obliged (Regulation on Spent Batteries)
to return all dead batteries and accumulators. Disposal in the household waste is
prohibited.
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with the symbol shown to
indicate that disposal in household waste is forbidden. The symbols of the critical
heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead (the marking can be seen
on the battery, e.g., underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return your used batteries at collection points of your community at no cost or
wherever batteries are sold.
That way you fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
