Intended use
This product is designed to measure current flow and voltage on lights using a multimeter (not included).
It comes with three measuring adapters for standard socket types (GU10, E27 and E14). These adapters
screw into the light socket and allow a professional and risk-free measurement of the aforementioned
electrical parameters.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture (e.g. in bathrooms)
must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for
purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper use can cause
hazards such as a short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read the instructions carefully and store them in a safe
place. Only make this product available to third parties together with its operating instructions.

a) General information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous playing
material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent unauthorised
use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may
damage the product.
• Always observe the safety information and operating instructions of any other devices which
are connected to the product.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if you have
concerns about safety.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs may only be carried out by a technician or a specialist
repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) Persons and product
• Before connecting the product to the mains, check that your lighting power supply matches
the specifications of the product.
• Never pour liquids over electrical devices or place objects filled with liquid next to the product.
If liquid or an object does enter the interior of the device, switch off the power supply to the
light socket (e.g. switch off the circuit breaker). Discontinue use and take the product to a
specialist repair centre.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensate generated may destroy the product. Allow the product to reach room
temperature before connecting it and putting it to use. This may take several hours.
• For safety reasons, always disconnect the measuring adapter from the light during
thunderstorms.
• Never leave the product unattended during use.

Operation
Check the measuring adapter for signs of damage before each use. Do not use the measuring
adapter if it is damaged.
• Select the correct measuring adapter for the light socket.
• Make sure that the cable to the light is disconnected from the power supply. If necessary, switch off the
corresponding mains switch.
• Screw the measuring adapter into the light socket.
• Turn on the light switch.
The measuring adapter connections for the E27 and E14 sockets are colour coded. Brown
(phase) is connected to the ground contact on the socket. Blue (neutral) is connected to the
socket thread.
• You can now connect the measuring leads (included with the product) to a multimeter and the measuring
ports on the measuring adapter.
The measuring adapters are only designed to be used as measuring tools. Do not expose them
to very strong currents, especially for prolonged periods.
• After taking measurements, turn off the corresponding light switch.
• Unscrew the measuring adapter from the light socket and store it in a safe place until you use it again.
Care and cleaning
• Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the
casing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste. At the end
of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to protection of the environment.
