(b) Grasp the sides of the terminal block cover near the in-
stallation hooks and pull the terminal block cover out from
the bottom using its upper side as a support.
(c) With the terminal block cover removed, wiring of the
main circuit terminals and control circuie terminals can be
performed.
2. Set the built-in EMC filter connector to on position if is not.
Factory setting of 400V inverter s(FR840) is ON
Factory setting of 200V inverters (FR- A820) is Off
1. EMC filter ON/OFF connector (Side view).
2. Disengage connector fixing tab.
3. With tab disengaged, pull up the connector straight.
3. Check or Change the control logic to source if is not. (for in-
verters FR-A820 (200V) series only)
To change the control logic, change the jumper connector po-
sition on the control circuit board.
Connect the jumper connector to the connector pin of the de-
sired control logic.
The control logic of input signals is initially set to the sink
logis (SINK) for the FM type.
The control logic of input signals is initially set to the source
logic (SOURCE) for the CA type.
(The output signals may be used in either the sink or source
logic independently of the jumper connector position.)

NOTE:
Make sure that the jumper connector is installed
correctly.
Never change the control logic while power is
ON.
4. Disconnect and remove old inverter and install new one.
Use original assembling parts.
5. Connect new inverter FR-A800 according valid scheme:
Control circuit terminal layout
1. This terminal operates as the terminal FM for the FM type,
and as the terminal CA for the CA type.
2. Represents the terminal STOP.
a. FS120, LH1200 – MCB40/FC timer
Power circuits remain the same.
Connection is the same for all inverters type.
Terminals A/B/C replaced by A1/B1/C1 for FR-A700/
A800.
