Heating control lamp
The heating control lamp (11) lights up blue as soon as the heating element of the device
starts heating the water. The heating control lamp lights up at intervals when the water is
being kept warm and when boiling at intervals.
Thermostat Control
The thermostat control (9) is used to switch the device on and off and set the temperature
of the water. The following settings can be selected with the thermostat control:
O The device is switched off.
Warm water
Hot water
Boiling water

Removing / Attaching the Lid
1. Hold the lid (4) at the lid handles (15).
If the device has been in operation, use potholders or similar gloves as the lid might
be hot. Always allow the device to cool down before using it again.
2. To close the lid, place it on straight and press it down fi rmly with a little force. It must
click audibly into place and sit fl at.
3. To take off the lid, pull it upwards.
4. To close the lid, place it on and press it fi rmly down. The lid is now locked in place.
5. Place the teapot (3) on the lid. This closes off the device at the top.
Filling the Water Reservoir
Only ever fi ll the water reservoir (7) with fresh, clear tap water. Do not pour in any
other liquids.
1. Take off the lid (4) (see the "Removing / Attaching the Lid" section).
2. Pour the desired quantity of water (maximum 10 litres) into the water reservoir. Note
the MAX marking.
3. Close the lid (see the "Removing / Attaching the Lid" section).
