TROUBLESHOOTING
The following tips will allow users of this machine to do repair work themselves. Some of
the possible problems that might occur are detailed below.
Case No 1
While in operation, the rotor causes the machine to vibrate.
Causes and solutions
a) Incorrect balance of blades or hammers.
These must be refitted.
b) The breaking or wear of one or several blades or hammers.
These must be changed.
c) Excessive wear or damage to the rotor bearings.
These must be replaced.
d) Jamming of blades or hammers or the rotor shaft
These must be cleaned.
Case No 2
Reduction of rotor speed.
Causes and solutions
a) Inspect belt tension and condition.
Adjust and change these if necessary.
b) Examine the belts for possible wear. Change these if necessary.
Case No 3
Excessive wear of blades or hammers.
Cause and solutions
This can only be due to an incorrect adjustment of the working height.
This must be fitted correctly.
