USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Before using this machine it is always essential to verify the height and working position
adjustment as follows:
1.-The height adjustment is obtained both in the machine provided with skids and in the
machine fitted with wheels or rollers, by means of a flat bar provided with holes in which
the fastening bolts are placed in the required position. The adjustment is correct when,
with the machine in operation, the blades only scrape the surface, without digging.
2.-The working position, in other words, the position of the machine in relation to the centre
of the tractor, is adjusted by loosening the nuts that secure the traction bar. This traction
bar must slide in the correct manner and be adjusted once again with the same nuts
when the required position is obtained.
3.-The position in which the wheels or rollers are placed, depending on the type of work
which is to be done, can be adjusted by loosening the nuts and sliding the brackets on
the profile until the required position is obtained. And once this has been done, secure
these with the same nuts.
4.-When the above operations have been completed, the shredder will be ready for
working.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
In order to ensure problem-free operation, follow these tips:
1.-Clean the PTO joint fork and also the interior and exterior profile tubes of the power
takeoff shaft, as well as the grease nipple after every eight hours of work, and after
cleaning, apply new grease.
2.-Clean the bearings that support the rotor and the PTO shaft joint bearing every eight
hours of work, and after cleaning, apply new grease.
3.-The correct belt tension must be maintained at all times in order to avoid wear and the
breaking of both pulleys and belts. To achieve this, loosen the bolts that block the
tension piece and adjust the tension on the belts with a tightening driver.
4.-The first oil refill in the gearbox must be done after 100-150 hours of work and the
following ones every 1000 hours of work.
Remove the plug and fill with SAE 90 or similar. Use approximately 1.5 l of oil. After
cleaning the gearbox replace the plug. At the end of this operation, and on a periodic
basis, check the oil level through the bolt provided for this purpose.
5.-Change broken or excessively worn blades or hammers immediately. When mounting
new ones, check that there is the correct "BALANCE". In order to carry out this
operation, it is essential to remove the studs and the blades or hammers. Replace worn
blades or hammers on each set, placing them in pairs around the rotor shaft.
Broken or excessively worn blades must be replaced with new ones. To carry out the
change, check the weight of each one and ensure that the sets of blades or hammers
have the same weight in order to maintain the correct balance of the rotor.
6.-Before stowing the machine away after use, clean, lubricate and grease it with care.
