IMPORTANT: The retractable spacer is used to compensate the normal
inclination of the vehicle seat and its rotation is possible only when the
child seat is fully reclined.
N.B. A locking mechanism prevents the rotation of the spacer if the
seat is not adjusted in the maximum
reclined
position.
In this condition, the angle between the child's back and the travel
direction will be next to the 45°, which is, according to the authoritative
paediatric researches, the best position to prevent the risk of suffocation
to which the baby is subject in its first few weeks of life, in case its head
leans forward during sleep.
Please avoid forcing the locking mechanism, to prevent damaging the
seat.
Do not use the child seat on seats of vehicles equipped with frontal
airbags, unless after having possibly excluded the airbag, following the
instructions in the user manual of your vehicle.
- Place the child seat on the appropriate vehicle seat, opposite to the
travel direction.
- Make sure the vehicle seat is secured in the rearmost position and its
seatback is locked in the vertical position .
-Make sure the child seat is adjusted to its most reclined position
(Fig. 11).
- If your car in included in the list of compatible vehicles and is equipped
with Isofix anchoring points, rotate the connector retractable Isofix seat
in the front, below the base of the seat (Figure 12).
- The SF01 Q-fix child seat comes with plastic guides to facilitate the
insertion of the connectors in their proper locations, on the Isofix anchor
points of your vehicle seats; fix the plastic guides onto the anchor points
(Fig. 10).
- Make sure the indicators on the sides of the Isofix arms are in red
colour, showing they are ready for hooking. (Fig. 13).
- Insert both Isofix connectors of the child seat in the plastic guides.
Snap both connectors onto the Isofix anchor points (Fig. 14).
