Starting and stopping the air compressor
After carrying out all the assembly and installation
procedures, the compressor is ready to run. The start-
up procedure should be carried out as soon as the
compressor is installed and in the following order:
1. Check the oil level sight glass (19) and plug in the
power cord;
2. Pull up the ON/OFF switch (16) to start the
compressor motor;
The compressor motor will run until the tank is
completely full. When the tank reaches its maximum
pressure, set on the pressure switch (4), the motor
switches off automatically.
- As soon as the motor shuts down, the compressed
air accumulated in the discharge pipe between the
compressor pump and the check valve is released.
This is the necessary condition to prevent to motor
from restarting under stress. This prevents motor
damage and extends its service life.
3. Press down the ON/OFF switch to stop the motor
and prevent it from starting automatically;
4. Open the tank drain plug (11) to empty condensed
water inside the tank;
5. After all the condensed water has come out, screw
the tank drain plug;
6. Connect the air blow guns or compressed air tools to
outlet valves with quick-release coupling (14) or
connect them to fixed distribution networks;
7. Pull up the ON/OFF switch so that the compressor is
ready to start;
- When the compressor is switched on, if the
pressure in the air tank is lower than the minimum
pressure set on the pressure switch, the motor
starts immediately.
8. Check the pipes or couplings/fittings for air leaks. If
you do not have any tools or equipment attached to
the compressor or in the distribution network and
the compressor starts up systematically, there is
leakage;

Pressure switch and ON/OFF switch
The automatic operation of the compressor is
controlled by a pressure switch (4). The compressor
starts when the minimum pressure (6 bar) is reached
and stops when the maximum pressure is reached, as
long as the ON/OFF switch is pulled upwards.
Do not adjust factory set pressure settings. They shall
not be changed.
The ON/OFF switch attached to the pressure switch
enables the compressor to be stopped whenever the
user wishes or in the event of an emergency.
Safety valve
The safety valve or pressure relief valve (13) is set to trip
according to the permitted pressure of the air receiver
tank (2). If for some reason the permitted tank pressure
is reached and the motor does not stop, the safety valve
should open. It is not allowed to adjust the safety valve
or remove the plastic seal.
