Regular checks and maintenance

Always turn the generator off before carrying out maintenance!
Spark plug
Check the spark plug after 50 working hours. Remove any carbon build-up,
check to ensure the spark plug is not discolored and, if necessary, set the
opening (0.7 to 0.8 mm.), or replace the spark plug with another of the same
type.
Air filter
Clean the air filter every 150 working hours or 3 months (whichever comes
first). Undo the panel on the socket side (2 large cross-head screws). Remove
the air filter (foam block) and wash it in a little clean petrol. Drip a little engine
oil (SEA20) on it and press (do not wring) the filter out carefully.
Let the filter dry thoroughly before replacing. Replace the panel. A damaged or
worn air filter must be replaced. Never run the generator without the air filter!
Fuel filter
Clean the fuel filter after every 150 working hours/3 months (whichever comes
first); the fuel filter is found in the filling opening, under the cap. Take the filter
out of the opening, clean it in a little clean petrol, dry and then replace. A
damaged or worn fuel filter must be replaced. Never run the generator without
the fuel filter!
