PEDAL ASSIST (PAS) CONTROL PANEL
The pedal assist (PAS) control unit is located on the left side of the handlebar.
DOC X4 is fitted with switches for pedal assist at three speeds.
THE PEDAL ASSIST FUNCTION CANNOT BE ACTIVATED WITH THE BICYCLE AT A STANDSTILL.
PAS operation:
Pedal and simultaneously activate the PAS. This method entails a greater use of current and a
•
greater wear of the motor.
• Pedal until you create a certain inertia for the bicycle, activate the PAS and resume pedalling.
This method on the other hand allows greater savings in current and therefore a greater
protection of the motor.
• Cycle while avoiding sudden speed changes; after braking resume pedalling prior to changing
the PAS setting.
• Do not vary the PAS speed during braking, as this would lead to a motor overload.
The current regulator automatically cuts off the electricity supply in the event of overvoltage,

re-establishing it when the electrical load is restored.
Do not use the PAS in the rain or on excessively uneven ground.

• Turn off the PAS before stopping DOC E-BIKE X4, the last few pedal strokes should therefore
be made without electrical assistance.

DOC E-BIKE X4 is equipped with a front LED light.
It is turned on and off from the multi-
purpose display on the handlebar.
