MAINTENANCE
WARNING
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause
product damage.
WARNING
Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side
shields during power tool operation or when blowing
dust. If operation is dusty, also wear a dust mask.
WARNING
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced only by the manufacturer or by an authorized
service center to avoid risk.

For greater safety and reliability, all repairs should be
performed by an Authorised Ryobi Service Centre.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
Lubrication
All of the bearings in this tool are lubricated with a sufficient
amount of high grade lubricant for the life of the unit under
normal operating conditions.
Tile cutting blade
For maximum performance and safety, it is recommended
that you use the 178 mm cutting blade provided with your

CHANGING THE TILE CUTTING BLADE
See Figure 20.
A 178 mm tile cutting blade is the maximum blade
capacity of the saw. Never use a blade that is too thick
to allow blade flange to engage with the flats on the
spindle. Larger blades will come in contact with the
blade guard, while thicker blades will prevent the blade
bolt from securing the blade on the spindle. Either of
these situations could result in a serious accident and
can cause serious personal injury.
1. Unplug the saw.
2. Remove bevel table.
3. Slide the hex wrench over the blade arbor nut. Using
other hand, slide arbor wrench onto blade arbor.
4. Hold arbor wrench firmly to prevent the blade from
moving. Turn arbor nut counterclockwise to loosen.
5. Remove arbor nut, outer blade flange, and cutting
blade.
6. Wipe a drop of oil onto inner blade flange where it
contacts the blade.
If inner blade flange has been removed, replace it before
placing blade on spindle. Failure to do so could cause an
accident since the blade will not tighten properly. Never use
blades that have openings, grooves, or teeth on this tool.
7. Place the cutting blade onto arbor with arrows on
cutting blade going in the counterclockwise direction.
8. Replace outer blade flange. The double "D" flats on the
blade flange align with the flats on the spindle.
9. Using blade wrench and arbor wrench, tighten arbor nut
securely.
10. Replace the bevel table.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing
of as waste. The machine, accessories
and packaging should be sorted for
environmental-friendly recycling.
