Changing a Diamand Cup Wheel
When transporting the machine, the diamond
cup wheel 11 should be removed to avoid dam-
age to it.
Do not touch diamond cup wheels before
they have cooled. Diamand cup wheels be-
come very hot while working.
Press the spindle lock button 3 to lock the grind-
ing spindle.
Actuate the spindle lock button only when
the grinder spindle is at a standstill. Other-
wise, the machine may become damaged.
Loosen the clamping nut 12 with the two-pin
spanner 14 and unscrew the clamping nut.
Remove the diamond cup wheel 11.
Quick-clamping Nut
For convenient changing of grinding tools with-
out the use of additional tools, you can use the
quick-clamping nut 13 instead of the clamping
nut 12.
Use only a flawless, undamaged quick-
clamping nut 13.
When screwing on, pay attention that the
side of the quick-clamping nut 13 with print-
ing does not face the diamond cutting disc;
the arrow must point to the index mark 15.
Lock the grinder spin-
dle with the spindle
15 13
lock button 3. To tight-
en the quick-clamping
nut, firmly turn the dia-
mond wheel disc in
clockwise direction.
A properly attached,
undamaged quick-
clamping nut can be
loosened by hand
when turning the
knurled ring in anticlockwise direction. Never
loosen a tight quick-clamping nut with pliers.
Always use the two-pin spanner 14.

Dust extraction

Dusts from materials such as lead-containing
coatings, some wood types, minerals and
metal can be harmful to one's health. Touch-
ing or breathing-in the dusts can cause aller-
gic reactions and/or lead to respiratory infec-
tions of the user or bystanders.
Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are
considered as carcinogenic, especially in
connection with wood-treatment additives
(chromate, wood preservative). Materials
containing asbestos may only be worked by
specialists.
– To achieve a high degree of dust extrac-
tion, use the GAS 50 MS vacuum cleaner
for mineral dust together with this power
tool.
– Provide for good ventilation of the work-
ing place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-
class respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your
country for the materials to be worked.
The vacuum cleaner must be approved for the
extraction of masonry dust. Bosch provides
suitable vacuum cleaners.
Insert a vacuum hose 4 (accessory) into the
vacuum connection 2. Connect the vacuum hose
4 to a vacuum cleaner (accessory). An overview
for connecting to a vacuum cleaner can be found
at the end of these instructions.
