RECIPES
Vanilla Cupcakes
Makes approximately 12 cupcakes
Ingredients:
100 g self raising flour
100 g margarine
100 g caster sugar
2 medium eggs
½ teaspoon (2.5 g) of vanilla essence
Method:
Mix together the margarine and the sugar in a food processor or with a hand held whisk
until it is light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time along with a little flour each time, until well mixed.
Stir in the vanilla essence. Add flour to the mixture gradually, until it is combined with
the mixture.
Fit the cupcake plates and preheat the appliance according to the instructions provided.
Spoon the mixture into the cupcake moulds and bake for approximately 12 minutes.
Remove from the moulds when golden brown and cooked through.
Donuts
Makes approximately 24 donuts
Ingredients:
192 g plain flour
64 g caster sugar
125 g butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
175 ml milk
1½ teaspoon (7.5 g) of baking powder
½ teaspoon (2.5 g) of salt
Cinnamon sugar, optional
Method:
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, caster sugar, baking powder and salt.
Add the butter, egg and milk and beat with a blender until mixture is thick, smooth
and creamy.
Fit the donut plates and preheat the appliance according to the instructions provided.
Spoon the mixture into the moulds and bake for approximately 2 minutes, or until the
donuts are golden brown and soft to touch.
Carefully remove the donuts from the appliance and place onto a wire rack to cool.
Brush the donuts with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, if desired.
