2.4. SECURE STORAGE OF WOODEN PELLETS
Safety regulations apply to all energy sources and have to be observed in dealing with fuels, heating- and storage rooms. This applies to heating with

pellets too.Please take this information seriously and pay attention to it regularly!

Switch off the pellet boiler in time before filling the pelletbox or before any work on the pelletbox or pellet boiler. Please pay attention to the
temporal specifications of the boiler manufacturer. The pellet boiler must be switched off at least three hours before filling the pelletbox.

Storage rooms and storage bunkers for wooden pellets are not designed for entering or long stay. These rooms are no play yard! Wood pellets can

be swallowed by infants. Also moving parts, like delivery screws can cause injuries.

Pellet storage rooms may only be entered for work in immediate concern with the heating system (e.g. mounting and maintenance work).
A raised concentration of dangerous emissions in the air can be produced during combustion processes in the case of failure functions or by
H
faulty storage. These emissions can accrue during a long time and can cause danger. Even if there is no danger for the user, such accidents can´t
be forbidden.
PLEASE NOTE:
• THE PELLET BOILER NEEDS TO BE SWITCHED OFF BEFORE THE FILLING!
• VENTILATE THE STORAGE ROOM BEFORE ENTERING!
• RISK OF INJURY IS POSSIBLE CAUSED BY MOBILE COMPONENTS!
• KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM THE PELLET STORAGE ROOM!
• DURING OPERATIONS IN FILLED STORAGE ROOMS OR SYSTEMS A SECOND PERSON SHOULD ALWAYS
STAY OUTSIDE THE STORAGE ROOM JUST TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE.
3. ROOM CONFIGURATION/FIRE SAFETY
The pelletbox can be mounted in any suitable room.
Permanent ventilation must be given inside the storage room.

3.1. VENTILATION
Storage rooms and storage bunkers have to be ventilated – the vent openings must lead outside.
Ventilation between storage room and ambient air through the air supply function must be ensured. The ventilating device must be designed in a
way, so that ventilation without much pressure loss can be ensured.
The filling pipes of the pelletbox have to be carried out with hermetically sealed caps without vent opening. Installation rooms for storage bunkers
made of air-permeable fabric (pelletbox) must have a vent opening which leads outside.
