Note : In the event that the pH is very high (above 8.0) or very low (less than 6.0) add the relevant product
in small quantites at a time to avoid swinging to the other extreme.
Ozonator:
The spa pack includes an ozonator that produces ozone. Ozone is a powerful oxidising agent and
disinfectant that disinfects the water.
When water mixes with ozone, the reaction is immediate, so that the ozone is already consumed when
the gas bubbles injected by the ozone jet in the bottom of the spa arrive at the surface ; at this point the
bubbles do not contain any ozone, the water treatment occurs in the pipes.
The ozonator runs automatically during the spa filtration cycles. Maintaining a correct pH and a correct
disinfectant concentration is essential. Ozone participates in the spa water treatment, but does not replace it.
The ozonator has a service life of between 3 and 4 years. After this time, it must be replaced.
Active oxygen (potassium mono persulphate - OXYSPA):
CAUTION
Do not confuse this chemical with Hydrogen Peroxide which is also an oxygenated compound
but which could cause serious damage to the spa.
Due to its powerful anti-microbial action and the fact that it is odourless, active Oxygen is particularly
suitable for disinfection of spas.
Dose: 20 g pellet per 1000 litres of water.
Place a pellet in the skimmer basket one or two times a week (depending on the bather load) while filtration
is running 30 minutes before entering the spa.
Shock chlorination:
Carry out a shock chlorination treatment of the spa every month to eradicate any trace of bacteria that
could evolve to resist the treatment used and lodge in inaccessible areas (air and water circuits).
Product: AQUACHOC 60 granulés.
Dose : 20 g per 1000 litres water.
Pour the dose into the skimmer while the filter is on. Preferably, this should be done after using the spa to
allow the chlorine time to act and to be eliminated before the spa is next used.
Antifoaming agent:
In the event that foam forms on the surface of the spa water, use an antifoaming agent.
Product: : ANTIMOUSSE SPA.
Dose: 2 caps for every 1000 litres of water poured directly into the spa shell..
The use of hydrogen peroxide to treat water in spas is strictly and strictly prohibited. This chemical
could cause damage both to the shell itself and to any plastic fittings.
Never pour any chemicals directly into the spa shell. These should always be poured or placed in the
skimmer to avoid any damage to the acrylic shell.
The spa should be emptied and refilled with "fresh" water on a regular basis. This should be done at
an interval of 10 to 30 days depending on the number of users and the frequency of use.
