Preparation, hydraulic connections and wiring
3.3.1 Spa pack connections
As a safety precaution, start with the hydraulic connections.
A) Hydraulic connections
Open the bag of seals delivered with the spa pack. This contains a gravity drainage hose extension
adaptor (see paragraph 3.6) and the following o-rings :
Two speed
2 o-rings: inner diam 58 mm, string gauge Dc 4.5 mm
pump and
1 for the spa pack mouting plate pump suction connection
heater
1 for the spa pack mounting plate panel outlet
Massage
pump
Ozone and
1 o-ring, int diam 27 mm, string gauge, 3.8 mm
water valve
Connecting the pumps:
Place the spa pack opposite the spa pack mounting plate on the side of the spa, the tubes of the spa
pack should line up with those on the spa pack mounting plate to allow connection. Adjust the lateral
and horizontal position of the spa pack (alter the height of the spa pack's anti-vibration feet - height may
be adjusted within 8 mm) such that the male connections of the spa pack fit perfectly into the female
connections on the spa pack mounting plate. Each union of the spa pack should align with its corresponding
circuit in the spa. If necessary, loosen the pump screws to allow adjustment.
Insert an o-ring between each union (according to the table above) to prevent leaks than tighten the barrel
nuts by hand.
Connecting the ozonator:
On the spa pack, the ozone charged water circuit starts at a white by-pass union located between the
two speed pump and the control panel, and terminates at the half barrel union mounted on the free end:
it comprises a white, flexible PVC tube, diameter 26 mm, easily identified by the plastic venturii tee where
ozone is sucked into the water.
After positioning the correct o-ring in the valve, screw the barrel union onto the 25 mm diameter 1/4 turn
valve protruding from the spa pack mounting plate.
The circuit that channels gaseous ozone from the ozonator to the venturii tee comprises a flexible, white
PVC tube, diameter 7 mm that follows a loop under the spa shell but above the water line to prevent water
