5.3 Replacing the washer
5.3.1 For reusable cylinders
We recommend replacing the washer in the adapter (art. no. 3056)
for connection to reusable cylinders on a regular basis, in order to rule
out leaking cylinder connections at all times
5.3.2 For disposable cylinders
There is a Longlife washer in the connection socket of the pressure re-
ducer. It is not normally necessary to replace this washer during the
service life of the pressure reducer. The seal can only be replaced using
special tools: Please send in the pressure reducer to Dennerle's Cus-
tomer Service department.
5.4 Cleaning and recalibrating the needle valve
There is a factory-calibrated needle valve in the hose connector of the
pressure reducer.
Should no CO be supplied although the cylinder is full and the setting

knob is turned to fully open position, this indicates that the needle
valve is probably blocked. In this case:
• Open the valve by turning by one half-turn in anti-clockwise di-
rection using a fine screwdriver (blade format 2 – 2.5 x 0.5 mm),
then "flush" with CO for a few seconds with the setting knob in
2
fully open position.
Important: Do not unscrew valve completely
• Close valve again by one half-turn.
• The valve is factory-set to approx. 120 bubbles per minute when
the setting knob is in fully open position. If necessary, it can be re-
calibrated by carefully screwing it in or out in steps of approx. 1/8
of a turn.
5.5 Removing the CO

• Large quantities of valuable CO
leaking CO hoses. We thus recommend the special Softflex CO

hose from Dennerle.
• Even when using CO diffusors with integrated bubble counter, it is

nevertheless expedient to install an additional bubble counter close
to the pressure reducer. This enables the number of bubbles to be
set even more simply, quickly and exactly. Recommendation:
Dennerle CO bubble counter Exact. 10 bubbles per minute

correspond to a CO supply of 1.8 g or 0.9 litres per day.
