• Turn the selector switch to the resistance/continuity position.
• Short the test leads together if you want a measurement lead
compensation (see "measurement lead compensation" section).
• Ensure the circuit being tested is not live before connecting leads and
beginning testing.
• Connect the test leads to the circuit being tested. The "LIVE
CIRCUIT" indicator must not be light.
• Press the TEST ON button.
• The value of the resistance will be displayed.
• The lead compensation is only possible in continuity test :
• Turn the selector switch to the resistance/continuity position.
• Short the tips of the test leads together.
• Press and hold down the TEST button by twisting it clockwise :
the display will show the resistance of the test lead.
• Adjust the Null control button to set to reading to zero.
• If "1" is displayed when the test leads are shorted together, it means
that the leads are faulty (too high resistance) or that the
instrument fuse is blown (see Fuse replacement section).
Meaning of the following displayed symbols :
Low battery indication. See "Battery replacement" section.
The "Data Hold function" is active.
