2. How to use the DIGIMOUSE with a Signal Locator
Although the DIGIMOUSE can be used
with any locator that operates at 33
kHz, it was designed to complement
the DIGICAT 100 Underground Service
Locator.
Function check
This is done to ensure the DIGICAT
100 and DIGIMOUSE are functioning
correctly and are operating at the same
frequency.
Put the battery in the DIGIMOUSE.
Power up the DIGICAT 100 and select
33 KHz.
Bring the DIGICAT 100 to within 2
metres of the DIGIMOUSE.
The meter display on the DIGICAT 100
should indicate an output from the
DIGIMOUSE.
The DIGICAT 100 must be operated
in accordance with the relevant User
Instruction manual.

Once the functions of the DIGIMOUSE
and DIGICAT 100 have been checked
the DIGIMOUSE can be attached to
drain rods or other means of guiding it
into the service being traced.
The thread on the DIGIMOUSE is a
male M10, and the DIGIMOUSE comes
with adapters to both British and Euro-
pean drain rods.
