Using the scanner
Installing the batteries:
• Open the battery cover
• Insert 3AAA alkaline batteries into the battery
compartment. Please follow the polarity
indications inside the compartment.
• Turn on the scanner by pressing the power/ scan
button for 2 seconds.
Inserting Micro SD memory card (not included):
• You must insert a Micro SD card to record and
store your pictures. How to insert the card:
- Turn OFF the scanner
- Insert the Micro SD card into the Micro SD
card slot; gently press in until the card is
latched.
Note: don't force the card into the slot; forcing
may damage the scanner and the Micro SD
card. Align the Micro SD card position (as
marked) and try again.
Note: the Micro SD card must be formatted
before scanning.
Time settings:
• Press [TIME SET] to enter time setting mode.
• In the LCD, it shows 2011 and the 2011 flickers,
press [COLOR/BW & RESOLUTION] button for
up/down number selection, then press power/
scan button to confirm year settings and enter
month settings.
• In the same way you can set month, day, hour
and minutes sequentially.
• After all the information has been set, press
[TIME SET] button again to exit.
Formatting the Micro SD memory card:
• Insert a new Micro SD memory card into the
scanner, then turn on the scanner.
• Press the format button until "F" is shown on
the LCD.
• Press the power/ scan button to start formatting
the Micro SD memory card.
• The SD card indicator will blink until format is
complete.

Setting the resolution:
• Press the [Resolution] button to select high/low
resolution. The high/low resolution icon will be
displayed on the status LCD.
Setting the scan mode:
• Press the [Color/BW] button to select color/
mono mode. Color/mono icon will be displayed
on the status LCD.
How to scan:
• Hold the document firmly by one hand.
• Place the scanner on the start-scanning
position.
• Hold the scanner tight and press the power/
scan button once.
• Slide the scanner slowly and keep your hand
stable to get best quality.
• Press the power/ scan button again to stop
scanning.
LED light indications
Green scan led on:
• Scan in progress.
• Green scan led off:
• Standby/ scan is complete
Red error led on:
• Scanning too fast.
• May cause scanning error.
• Low battery power.
• Restart and scan again, or change batteries...
Red error led off:
• No error in scanning speed.
• Continue scanning process.
- Scan will start when power/ scan button is
pressed.
- To end scan, press power/ scan button again.
Connect to computer
You may also connect your scanner to your
computer and view all you scanned pictures on
the computer monitor.
