Continuous Steam Iron
Automatic Safety Switch-Off
Function
Please Note!
It takes a little while for the bottom
of the iron to cool down. Even once
the device is in stand-by mode, never
leave it unattended while it is still
connected to the mains power!
The iron (1) automatically switches to
stand-by mode (heating function is
switched off) when it is placed vertically
on the base (7) for 8 minutes or is resting
on the bottom of the iron (9) and is not
moved for 30 seconds.
To switch it back on at the temperature
level which was selected last, move it
slightly or press any button.
Ironing
Please Note!
Only switch on the steam when there
is water in the water tank as otherwise
the water pump may be damaged
and the useful service life of the de-
vice may be shortened.
Only connect the device to a plug
socket that is properly installed. The
plug socket must also be readily
accessible after connection so that the
connection to the mains can quickly
be isolated. The mains voltage must
match the rating plate of the device.
Do not use any extension cables.
Always test whether the ironing tem-
perature is suitable for the fabric first
on a small, ideally inconspicuous spot
on the fabric.
Do not iron delicate fibres with steam
to prevent any damage!
Even though the iron has an auto-
matic safety switch-off function, do
not leave the hot bottom of the iron
standing on the fabric or another
heat-sensitive surface or iron on one
spot for too long! This may cause a
fire.
Do not iron over zips, studs, clips, se-
quins etc. to prevent any damage to
the coating on the bottom of the iron.
1. Plug the mains plug into a plug
socket.
STANDBY lights up on the dis-
play (13).
2. Place the iron (1) upright on the iron-
ing board or on a stable, heat-resist-
ant and moisture-resistant surface.
3. Check the label in the garment for the
required ironing temperature (see the
"Ironing Recommendations" chapter)
and set this temperature using the
buttons + (11) and – (12).
The selected temperature level flash-
es on the display while the bottom of
the iron (9) is heating up.
4. Once the chosen temperature is
reached, the display is lit up constant-
ly. The iron is ready for use.
5. Move the bottom of the iron back and
forth on the fabric until it is smooth.
For steam-ironing, hold down the
steam button (4).
L
Steam-ironing is only possible at
a high temperature. At lower tem-
peratures, water could emerge
from the bottom of the iron rather
than steam.
6. When the water tank (8) is empty,
steam will no longer be produced.
Follow the instructions in the "Filling
the Water Tank" section to top it up.
