Intended use
This product is designed to measure voltage and current on batteries/rechargeable batteries
under load. It can be used to take measurements on devices that are powered by AAA, AA,
D or N batteries. 9 V block batteries can also be tested in appropriate circumstances. The
battery test cables connect to a suitable measurement device (e.g. multimeter) to allow you to
take measurements. Up to three measuring adapters are required to use all of the product's
functions.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture (e.g.
in bathrooms) must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for
purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such as a short circuit or fire. Read the instructions carefully and store
them in a safe place. Only make this product available to third parties together with its operating
instructions.

a) General information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed
if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
may damage the product.
• Always observe the safety information and operating instructions of any other
devices which are connected to the product.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if
you have concerns about safety.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs may only be carried out by a technician or
a specialist repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,

b) Battery information
• Always ensure that the battery is connected in the correct polarity.
• Leaking or damaged batteries may cause acid burns if they come into contact
with your skin. Always use suitable protective gloves when handling damaged
batteries.
• Batteries must be kept out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying
around, as there is a risk that children or pets may swallow them.
• Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited during measurements or thrown
into flames. Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. This may cause an
explosion!

Operation
a) Connecting the contacts to the battery/batteries

The battery/batteries and the connection terminals are shown above. In practice, it is
best to leave the battery/batteries in the battery compartment of the device that you
want to test and carefully slide the flexible contact tabs between the contacts.

• Insert the flexible contact tabs between the
battery and the battery contacts in the battery
compartment of the device that you want to
test. Ensure that they are connected in the
correct polarity. Connect the positive terminal
on the contact tab to the positive battery
terminal. Connect the negative terminal
on the contact tab to the negative battery
terminal
• Ensure that the contact is connected
properly. Clean the contact surfaces if there
are signs of corrosion or oxidation.
