IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: The following instructions contain important safety information – To reduce the risk of severe injury :
• READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.
• Keep these instructions to consult them after installation if necessary.
• Unsuitable application or wrong installation may result in a loss of system operating functions and consequently in damages
or/and injuries.
• The actuator is designed for applications on top hinged windows, roof windows, skylights and bottom hinged windows.
• The actuator is intended for indoor use only.
• Only original parts and fittings shall be used to install the actuator.
• The actuator shall be installed by qualified service person .
• Prior to installation make sure that:
- the actuator performances comply with the estimated application
- window profiles and fittings are suitable to the stresses caused by the actuator
- the minimum height of the window is higher than 32" (≈800 mm) (for 15" stroke)
- window fittings (hinges) and absence of obstacles allow complete opening
- bottom hinged windows are provided with side checks
- the existing electric systems comply with the regulations in force
- power supply features are those indicated in the actuator specifications
• The screws supplied are suitable for mounting the actuator on aluminium windows.
• Do not wire this system with power applied. Connect power only after the connections are verified. Damage or incorrect
operation may occur if connections are made with power applied.
• Before connecting the actuator to power supply make sure it has been turned off to avoid electrocution.
• Remote controls should be installed so as to keep in sight the system, at a minimum height of 5 feet (≈1.5 m), so small
children are not able to reach it.
• We recommend to install, where possible, the actuator 8 feet (≈ 2,4 m) or more above the floor.
• In case the window is accessible, we advise to provide the system with a switch off device to be reached easily.
• In case the actuator is installed on a mobile wing, make sure the supply cable is not subject to stress or squashing when
operating.
• When assembling and disassembling the actuator, take proper precautions to avoid accidental closing of the window which
might cause injuries to people (impact-squashing-cutting-shearing).
• Do not install two actuators on the same window.
• When connecting the actuator to accessories, read the installation instructions supplied with each item before beginning
installation.
• By feeding the actuator make sure that operation is regular and that opening and closing limit switches operate correctly.
• Check for correct operation of the limit microswitches and make any necessary adjustment by acting on the tie-rod (7).
• Do not carry out any work on the actuator (e.g. do not remove any part); in case of malfunctioning, contact only specialized
personnel.
1.1 Installation on skylights (or top hinged with windowsill)
• Draw the center line of the window and drill the holes (see Fig. A).
• Install the actuator following Fig. A and check for the closure of the window acting on the tie-rod (7).
• Use plugs to cover the holes
1.2 Installation on top and bottom hinged windows (without windowsill); brackets part n° 37021U or n° 37493H to be
ordered separately
• Draw the center line of the window and drill the holes (see Fig.B-C-D).
• Install the actuator following Fig. B-C-D and check for closure of the window acting on the tie-rod (7).

1.3 Electric Connection

• Make the electric connection following the wiring diagram (the colors identify the wires)
• The standard wires recommended (in relation with the distance from the transformer to the farest actuator) are showed in the
table of the electric connection diagram.
• Control cables section: 22 AWG.
Warning:
• Damages to the supply cable may result in a loss of system operating functions
• Feeder and Voltage Supply Line must be in Class II
