Freezing Tips

Before plugging the appliance into the electrical outlet for the first time, please
leave it to remain static and upright for two hours if it was transported in the upright
position, or 24 hours if it was transported horizontally. This is to allow the refrigerant
gas to settle back down into the compressor. Not respecting this waiting period may
damage the compressor.
•
Prepare food in small portions so that it will freeze quickly and so that only the required
amount can be defrosted.
•
Wrap in aluminium foil or cling film.
•
Do not allow fresh food to come into contact with already frozen food as this may
increase the temperature of the frozen food.
•
Frozen products can cause cold burns if consumed immediately after removing them
from the freezer.
•
It is recommended to date all frozen items, in order to keep track of their shelf life.
Tips for storing frozen food.
•
Make sure that the frozen product has been properly stored by the vendor.
•
Once thawed, frozen food spoils quickly and cannot be refrozen. Do not exceed the
storage period indicated by the food manufacturer.
Turning off your appliance
If you need to turn off this appliance for a long period of time, the following steps should
be followed to prevent the growth of mould.
1.
Remove all food.
2.
Remove the plug.
3.
Clean and dry the inside of the appliance thoroughly.
4.
Make sure that the doors remain open to allow air to circulate.
