Installation
The procedure for exchanging the safety coupling is de-
scribed in this section.
Safety instructions
We recommend having the installation carried out
only by competent specialist workshops or our
AL-KO Service department.
Installation must be carried out in accordance with
the regulations of the EC Type Approval (Directive
94/20 EC; ECE R55)
The same clearances must be observed for all over-
run devices (
5+6)
If the clearances are not met because of attached
parts (e.g. platform, spare wheel), use of these parts
must be tested separately
Self-locking nuts must only be used once

Caution!
The shock absorber of many overrun devices is
suspended from the fastening bolt.
This shock absorber extends automatically!
The AKS 3004 is designed for a 50 mm drawbar con-
nection. If the diameter is less than this, spacer brackets
must be provided.
Supplied spacer brackets for tube diameters:
