The Gardigo Animal Repellent can be powered with rechargeable batteries that are
recharged through the solar panel, or with the USB power supply. It is basically not
necessary to recharge the rechargeable batteries externally. The batteries are charged
through the solar panel during the summer if it is subjected to direct sunlight. If you
should want to use the animal repellent in February as a preventive measure the bat-
teries occasionally need to be recharged, due to the short days. This can be done by
connecting a 5 V USB power supply or by exchanging the batteries and rechargeable
externally. If you should apply the device in the carport or an area which is not subjec-
ted to direct sunlight, then you can also use an external power adapter is a constant
power supply.
Installing the rechargeable batteries: The device requires 3 Mignon (AA) rechargeable
batteries. Never use normal alkaline batteries! Using alkaline batteries can be dange-
rous! Switch the device off to position „0" before changing the batteries. Open the bat-
tery compartment at the back of the device by unscrewing the four screws with a screw
