Strictly follow the Instructions for Use
Any use of the apparatus requires full understanding and strict
observation of these instructions.
The apparatus is only to be used for purposes specified in the
chapter "Intended Use".
Maintenance
The unit may only be serviced by service personnel from
Dräger Medical or by service personnel authorized by Dräger
Medical.

Accessories
Do not use accessory parts other than those in the order list.
Liability for proper function or damage
The liability for the proper function of the apparatus is
irrevocably transferred to the owner or operator to the extent
that the apparatus is serviced or repaired by personnel not
employed or authorized by Dräger Medical or if the apparatus
is used in a manner not conforming to its intended use.
Dräger Medical cannot be held responsible for damage
caused by non-compliance with the recommendations given
above. The warranty and liability provisions of the terms of sale
and delivery of Dräger Medical are likewise not modified by
the recommendations given above.

Safety instructions

Oxygen promotes combustion!
When using the unit and for 15 minutes after use:
No smoking, no naked lights, such as burning matches,
candles, open fires. Fire hazard.
The unit and its hoses must be kept free from oil and
grease. Fire hazard.
This apparatus is neither approved nor certified for use in
areas where combustible or explosive gas mixtures are
likely to occur.
The apparatus must not be allowed to come into contact
with explosive gas mixtures. Explosion hazard.
Do not use any humidifiers or other accessories not listed
in this manual, otherwise the correct functioning of the
unit and the therapy may be jeopardized.
This "Instructions for Use" manual is published for public use and is only meant for your information.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of these instructions with respect to your specific device type or status.

Intended Use

Permox SilentCare – for oxygen enrichment of the breathing
air for long-term oxygen therapy at home and in hospitals.
Only for patients whose vital functions are not directly and
constantly dependent on a higher oxygen concentration in
the breathing air.
In the case of patients who constantly require an elevated
oxygen concentration, Permox SilentCare may only be used in
combination with an emergency supply, e.g. oxygen cylinders.
Constant oxygen monitoring with the aid of a suitable
measuring instrument is essential for such patients.
Only for use as directed by a physician
Oxygen for medical purposes is a highly efficient medicament.
Incorrect use may produce major side effects. The doctor's
instructions must therefore be followed strictly; the doctor's
settings on the unit must not be changed. All changes in the
patient's well-being must be reported to the attending
physician without delay.
