Problem
No function when On/Off Trigger (7)
is operated
Sander pulls to the side

'Squealing' sound or intermittent loss
of power whilst sanding

touching the On/Off Trigger

Possible cause
No power
Defective On/Off Trigger
Off-centre sanding belt
Loose sanding belt
Drive belt is worn
Lock On Button (2) activated
Solution
Check power supply
Replace the On/Off Trigger at an authorised Silverline service centre
Adjust the Belt Tracking Adjuster (6) to align the belt. If problem persists, refit the belt as
instructed in 'Fitting a sanding belt'
Ensure the Belt Release Lever (10) is securely closed. If problem persists, refit the belt as
instructed in 'Fitting a sanding belt'
Replace the drive belt as instructed in 'Drive belt replacement'
To stop the machine, squeeze and release the On/Off Trigger
