terms of its combined energy and water consumption, and that it is used to assess compliance with the EU
ecodesign legislation .
Washing tableware in a dishwasher usually consumes less energy and water in the use phase than hand
dishwashing when the dishwasher is used according to this instructions.
Pre-rinsing of tableware items leads to increased water and energy consumption and is not recommended.
