Operation
• Slide the on/off switch (5) to the ON position to switch on the laser. Switching on the cross line
laser with the on/off switch (5) automatically unlocks the levelling pendulum. This enables the
laser to level itself automatically.
• After switching on the on/off switch (5), the laser cross line of laser output 1 (1) is displayed.
The cross line laser is now in the default position.
• To switch off the laser, slide the on/off switch (5) to the OFF position. Switching off the laser
with the on/off switch (5) automatically locks the levelling pendulum.
• When the on/off switch (5) is in the OFF position, press and hold the laser power button (3)
for approximately 3 seconds to switch on the cross line laser.
• In this mode, the automatic levelling feature cannot be used. You can now adjust the laser
in angles of more than 4°. This feature can be used to project and mark different points, e.g.
angles or slanted lines, or to connect two points on walls that are not on a horizontal line.
The levelling pendulum features a lock that helps to protect against damage from
shaking or impacts during transport.

Configuration options

The cross line laser features two different modes:
- Self-levelling laser beam
- Laser device for marking points (in this mode, the levelling function is disabled)
In some cases, you may need to dim the ambient lighting to ensure that you can
easily detect the laser line.
a) Using the levelling function
• Place the cross line laser on a horizontal surface with an inclination of less than 4°. The self-
levelling function stops working when this limit value is exceeded.
• You can screw the laser onto a suitable tripod with a 1/4" thread (not included). Ensure that
the tripod is aligned horizontally within the 4° tolerance limit. The laser will be automatically
aligned in a vertical position.
If the cross line laser is inclined by more than 4°, the laser flashes as an alarm
signal. The pendulum of the self-levelling mechanism can no longer balance the
inclination.
• The laser, switched on with the on/off switch (5), displays the laser cross line through laser
output 1 (1).
• Press the laser power button (3) once to switch on lateral laser line projection from laser
output 2 (2). The laser cross line from laser outlet 1 (1) goes out. The vertical lateral laser line
is displayed from the side of laser outlet 2 (2).
• Press the laser power button (3) again to switch on the laser cross line from (1). The laser
cross line and the lateral vertical laser line appear together.
• Press the button again to switch back to the default position. The laser cross line is visible
again by itself.
• Switch off the laser with the on/off switch (5).
b) Using the laser without the levelling function
• Position the cross line laser on a surface at the desired angle in order to configure the angle
of the line(s).
• You can screw the laser onto a suitable tripod with a 1/4" thread (not included) and adjust
the angle as preferred.
• To switch off the laser and lock the levelling pendulum, slide the on/off switch (5) to the OFF
position.
• Hold down the laser power button (3) for approx. 3 seconds to switch on the cross line
laser without the levelling function. The laser displays the laser cross line through laser
output 1 (1). It flashes slowly to indicate that the levelling function is disabled.
• Press the laser power button (3) once briefly to switch on lateral laser line projection from
laser output 2 (2). The laser cross line from laser outlet 1 (1) goes out. The vertical lateral
laser line is displayed from the side of laser outlet 2 (2).
• Press the laser power button (3) again to switch on the laser cross line from (1). The front
laser cross line and the lateral vertical laser line appear together.
• Press the button again to switch back to the default position. The laser cross line is visible
again by itself.
• A further press switches off all lasers.

Care and cleaning

• Before cleaning the product, disconnect it from the power supply by removing the batteries.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may
damage the housing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• Store and transport the product in the storage pouch provided.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household
waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Battery information
You are required by law to return all used batteries (Battery Directive). They must not
be placed in household waste.
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with this symbol to indicate
that disposal in household waste is forbidden. The abbreviations for heavy metals
in batteries are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (indicated on the battery,
e.g. below the waste bin icon on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to local collection points, our stores or battery retailers.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to protection of the environment.
