Install the lock

Install bolt and strike.
CAUTION
Use provided bolt!

Adjust bolt length, if necessary.
Measure the backset. If the
measurement is 2C\," (60 mm) no
Backset
adjustment is necessary.
If the measurement is 2C\v" (70 mm), extend the bolt.
Twist the faceplate.

If desired, change to the square-corner faceplate.
Use a flathead screwdriver
to pry the faceplate off.

Install the bolt into the door.
CAUTION
If the bolt does not remain retracted throughout installation, locking and
unlocking could be reversed, resulting in an unsecured residence.
Make sure the button
pops into place.
Press the square-corner
faceplate into place.
Make sure the word
TOP faces up when
installing the bolt.

Install the strike into the frame.
Drill pilot holes Z\," x 3" deep, 2 places.
Optional
Reinforcement strike

Install the outside assembly.
CAUTION
If the bolt does not remain retracted throughout installation, locking
and unlocking could be reversed, resulting in an unsecured residence.
Install the outside assembly on the outside of the door.
Clips hold the assembly
on the door.
Route the tailpiece through the slot in the bolt.

Install the inside assembly.
CAUTION
If the cam is not in the correct position during installation, locking and
unlocking could be reversed, resulting in an unsecured residence.

Make sure the cam on the inside assembly is in the
correct position.
