Protective earth-terminal for sensors with metal version and
EST version and/or with Ex protection
*5
*The connector versions are only for the use in Dust-Ex area.
After mounting, the plug-and-socket connector has to be
protected by means of the protective clip enclosed with the
2
sensor.
Series 70 (NPN)
Series 80 (PNP)
Potentiometer (B)
• Protective earth-terminal for sensors
with metal version and EST version
and/or with Ex protection
• WH/2 only with antivalent output
• For inductive loads, a corresponding
protective circuit (e.g. freewheeling
diode) must be provided.
For adjustable sensors the potentiometer is sealing screw
(A). For some plug-in sensors (B) the potentiometer is
placed on the side without a cover.
Adjustment:
• Turn clockwise to increase sensitivity
• Turn anti-clockwise to decrease sensitivity
KAS non-flush mountable for level control:
• Immerse the active area (= thread-free zone or 25 mm)
into the medium.
• Turn the potentiometer clockwise until the sensor
switches.
• Then turn the potentiometer a further 90 ° to the right
(= reliable switching).
• If the sensor switches immediately when immersing
the sensor then turn the potentiometer to the left to the
switching point and then to the right again as described
above.
