4.2 Charge voltage
Recommended charge voltage: 14V-14,4V per battery (14,2V recommended),
respectively 28V-28,8V (28,4V recommended.
Absorption time: 2 hrs for a 100% charge, or a few minutes for a 98% charge.
Maximum charge voltage: 14,4V resp. 28,8V per battery.
Recommended storage/float voltage: 13,5V resp. 27V per battery.
Batteries must be regularly (at least once every month) charged to 14V (max.
14,4V) in order to fully balance the cells. Two or four batteries in series should
be charged regularly to 28V resp. 56V.
4.3 Allowed-To-Discharge cell voltage
The threshold below which discharging the battery is disallowed is 2,8V by
default, and is configurable in the VictronConnect app (range 2,6V to 2,8V).
4.4 Allowed-To-Charge minimum temperature
The threshold below which a lowtemperature alarm is raised is 5°C by default
and is configurable in the VictronConnect app (range -20°C to +20°C).
Warning: setting this temperature below 5°C voids the warranty. Charging a
lithium iron phosphate battery below 5°C permanently damages the chemistry;
reducing capacity.
4.5 Battery temperature offset
The battery temperature is used to trigger the temperature alarms, and is
displayed in the VictronConnect app. In order to improve the accuracy of the
temperature measurement, it is internally calibrated after the battery has been
idle (no balancing occurred) during 4hours.
The result of this calibration is a battery temperature offset, which is available
as a user setting in the VictronConnect app (range -10°C to +10°C). This
allows for manual correction of the battery temperature as well, if need be.
If the temperature offset is set by the user while an auto-calibration is in
progress, the auto-calibration will get aborted. The value set by the user will
be effective.
