IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is a filter, with a UV-C lamp for sterilization
inside, intended for use in an outdoor fresh-water pond
and indoor fresh and salt water aquariums. Any other
use is prohibited and, consequently, not covered by the
manufacturer's liability.
The UV-C filter is in compliance with European Standard
EN 60335-2-109.
Warning: Strictly adhere to the following warnings in
order to prevent any type of accident: you should also
observe basic safety provisions.
IMPORTANT: the current symbol on the product
label indicates that it is necessary to carefully read this
operating instruction manual before operating, using
and carrying out maintenance on the appliance.
1) WARNING: disconnect all submerged electrical
appliances in the pond (or in the aquarium) before
carrying out installation and maintenance operations.
If the connection plug or the electric socket should be
wet, disconnect the master switch before pulling out the
power supply cable.
2) Check that the voltage given on the appliance label
corresponds to the mains voltage.
3) Before connecting the appliance to the mains, check
that the cable and the appliance are not damaged in any
way.
4) The power supply line cannot be repaired or replaced.
If it is damaged, replace the entire appliance.
5) The appliance power supply cable must form an
appropriate loop, facing downwards (DRIP LOOP - fig.2
page 38), to prevent any runoff water from coming into
contact with the socket itself.
6) This appliance must be supplied through a residual
current device (RCD) having a rated residual current not
exceeding 30mA (Idn ≤ 30 mA).
7) (If used outside) Do not place the supply cable
underground, but follow the installation instructions
prescribed by the local regulations in force, and consult
a qualified installer and electrician.
8) When installing the appliance, do not use the supply
cable to lift it.
9) Before starting up the appliance, check that it has
been correctly installed.
10) Do not use or keep the appliance in an area subject
to freezing. In winter, it is necessary to remove, empty
and position the appliance so that it is protected.
11) The appliance must not be operated dry.
12) Avoid using corrosive or abrasive liquids when
operating these appliances.
13) IMPORTANT: these appliances contain an emitter
with UVC rays, which may damage the eyes and skin.

Improper use or damage to their protective casing
may cause harmful UVC radiation to leak out. If clearly
damaged, the appliances must not be used.
14) IMPORTANT: It is prohibited to use the UVC lamp on
the outside of the appliance.
15) IMPORTANT: Never look directly at the UVC lamp
when it is switched on.
16) IMPORTANT: these appliances contain glass. Handle
with due care.
17) Never connect the filters to the public water supply
network.
18) IMPORTANT: these UVC filters must not operate
immersed in water. If they should accidentally fall into it,
before recovering them, disconnect the plugs from the
power supply socket. Take the same care if you should
notice that any parts of the appliance are wet.
19) Position and firmly fasten the filter near the edge of
the pond (or near the aquarium), making sure that it is
positioned so that it cannot fall into the water, not even
accidentally, and that the area where it is positioned is
not subject to flooding or overflowing.
20) IMPORTANT: the appliances are not intended to
be used by people (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abilities, or lack of
experience or knowledge, unless they have been given,
through an intermediary responsible for their safety,
supervision or instructions concerning the use of the
appliances.
21) IMPORTANT: children must be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliances, since they are
not toys.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• This appliance is intended to be permanently
connected to the mains, other than by means of a
plug and socket.
• A 3-amp fuse must be fitted in the supply circuit.
• A complete disconnection of all electrical poles
must be made possible. All wiring must be in
accordance to Overvoltage Category III conditions
and to the local wiring rules.
• The wires in this main lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code: BROWN=LINE,
BLUE=NEUTRAL, GREEN/YELLOW=EARTH.
• This operation must be carried out by a qualified
electrician.
