Model HZ-850 Series - ThermaWave Ceramic Heater Operation
The Power Knob is equipped with two (2) heat settings:
1)
Low (
) – this setting uses 900 watts of power
2)
High (
) – this setting uses 1500 watts of power
Turn heater on by turning the Power Knob to either Low
(
) or High (
). The amber Power Light will come on.
Because the Low (
) setting does not require as much
electricity to operate, it is more energy efficient. This may be
a better option if you are concerned about saving energy.
To set the Thermostat, turn the Thermostat Control fully
clockwise to the highest (
) setting.
When the room reaches a comfortable temperature, slowly
turn the Thermostat Control counter-clockwise until both the
heating element and fan go off (the amber Power Light will
remain on). This is the point at which the Thermostat setting equals the room temperature. At this setting,
the Thermostat will automatically turn the heater back on and then off as needed to maintain the selected
temperature.
Turn the Power Knob to OFF (
) and unplug the heater when you are finished using it.

Ceramic Heater Operation
Turn heater on by pressing ON (
) button.
The heater will default to the Constant HI
mode and the Current Temp Indicator will
display the current room temperature.
The Energy Usage Indicator will display the
power consumption used by the heater.
The Energy Usage Indicator will display
STAND BY when the heater has reached the

the heater is most efficient and is drawing
only a few watts of energy while in STAND
BY mode.
Energy Usage Indicator Status:
• If HI, the heater is drawing 1500 watts
to quickly warm the room
• If LO, the heater is drawing 900 watts
to slowly warm the room or maintain
the temperature
• In STAND BY, the heater is drawing
no power as the room has reached
the Desired Temperature
To set the heater, the digital control
is equipped with two (2) continuous
heat modes:
1. For Continuous Low, press (

it is more energy efficient and may be a
better option if you are concerned about
the amperage draw on a circuit when the
heater is on the High (
) setting.
