Note: The connection is self-sealing - do not
use hemp or other sealing elements.
To operate the expansion vessel, open the
ball valve to ensure that water flows through it.
When the ball valve is in the „CLOSED" position,
the expansion vessel is closed.
Turn the expansion vessel's ball valve in the
„OPEN" position to open it.
Maintenance
Close the supply line by means of the safety
group's stop valve to carry out maintenance
works on the downstream installation (including
the pressure relief valve).

Depending on the pressure relief valve's loca-
tion, the water heater has to be drained prior
to servicing the pressure relief valve.
Pressure relief valve:
The pressure relief valve has to be tested
every 6 months:
Turn the blue lifting knob in the direction of
the arrow until hearing a click.
Then, water drips from the pressure relief val-
ve. After having removed the head part, the
pressure relief valve's seat and seal can be
cleaned with potable water without changing
the response pressure.
The complete pressure relief valve can be
exchanged for repair.
Check valve:
The check valve has to be serviced once per
year. It is located in the body above the knob.
To test the check valve, turn the stop valve's
knob clockwise up to the stop and then 2 ro-
tations back.
