Field of application
The SYR Safety Center 4807 is designed for
the protection of unvented (pressurized) po-
table water heaters up to a maximum of 560 l
(see table below) and complies with German
standards (DIN 1988, DIN 4753, part 1, DIN
4807 part 5) and the European standard EN
1488.
The Safety Center fulfils the requirements of
the standards mentioned above and has to be
installed according to table DIN 4807-5.

Design
The Safety Center 4807 includes a double
isolating valve with an integral test port for the
check valve, a check valve, a pressure relief
valve with a stainless steel seat, a pressure
gauge, a tundish and an anti-legionella valve.
The delivery includes 8 and 10 bar head parts
for the pressure relief valve as well as a wall-
fixing device.
The Safety Center 4807 is equipped with a 12
l or 18 l diaphragm expansion vessel including
an anti-legionella valve.

Installation
Mount the safety group in the drinking water
heater's supply line (observe the correct di-
rection of flow!). Thoroughly flush the pipes
prior to installation.
The group can be mounted in horizontal and
vertical pipes.
Caution: Do not install the pressure relief
valve in a downward facing position!
Make sure prior to installation that the system
is equipped with a filter and a centrally located
pressure reducing valve.
The pressure reducing valve's set outlet pres-
sure shall not exceed 4 bar.
Note:
To operate a diaphragm expansion vessel,
ensure that the system's pressure remains
stable.
Therefore, the standard DIN 4807, part
5, section 6.1 requires the installation of
a pressure reducing valve to be located
preferably at a centralized spot.
The SYR filter combinations Drufi
DFR and DFF include a pressure re-
ducing valve with an outlet pressure
that can be adjusted in a range from
1.5 - 6 bar.
The Safety Center 4807 can be mounted close
to the potable water heater or near the domestic
point of entry installation.
The safety group and the
membrane expansion vessel can be mounted
separately.
