Solder a 22 mm copper tube (4) in the soldering
socket (8 / 2).
Caution: The copper tube's length shall not
exceed 10 x DN (200 mm).
Fit the captive nut (3) with the centric bore on
the copper tube. This step is not required for
the DN 15 safety groups, since the captive nut
is directly coupled with the solder sleeve (8).
Solder the double nipple (5) to the copper
tube's other end.
Fit the pressure relief valve (7) with the ex-
centric union (6) to the double nipple (5) and
firmly tighten the excentric union. Even when
the union is firmly tightened, the pressure relief
valve remains rotatable.
Mount the complete unit on the safety group.
Make sure that the sealing disc (1) is correctly
positioned.
Firmly tighten the union.
Caution: There shall be no stop valves, nar-
rowings or strainers between the pressure
relief valve and the potable water heater.
Installation of the diaphragm expansion
vessel:
Verify that the expansion vessel's shut-off
valve is
closed.
Check the static pressure in the system down-
stream of the pressure reducing valve and
adjust the expansion vessel's pre-filled
pressure to this value minus 0.2 bar.
Example:
Static pressure 3.5 bar → Pre-filled gas pres-
sure 3.3 bar.
The pre-filled gas pressure can be checked
with the air pressure gauge 4807.00.905 and
increased with nitrogen, if necessary.
Screw the expansion vessel hand-tight in the
Safety Center's connection.
