ABRASIVE WHEEL REMOVAL
AND INSTALLATION
To reduce the risk of personal
WARNING
injury, always disconnect
plug from power source before assembling
parts.
1. Raise lower wheel guard as shown in
(Fig. 2), push in spindle lock, and loosen the
bolt in the center of abrasive wheel by rotat-
ing it counterclockwise with the hex wrench
provided.
2. Remove the bolt, outside washer, outside
flange, and abrasive wheel.

DEPTH-STOP BOLT
Your tool is equipped with an adjustable depth-
stop bolt. As the wheel wears, or when replacing
a wheel, it will be necessary to make this adjust-
ment (Fig. 3).
To Raise Wheel Depth:
Loosen the lock nut on the depth-stop bolt and
rotate the bolt counterclockwise with the wrench
provided. Securely tighten the lock nut.
To lower wheel depth:
Rotate the depth-stop bolt clockwise, then se-
curely tighten the lock nut .

3 . Carefully install the new abrasive wheel onto
the spindle shaft and replace outside flange,
outside washer, and hex head bolt.
4. Press the spindle lock and tighten the hex
bolt with the wrench provided (ATTENTION:
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN) .
Whenever replacing a wheel,
WARNING
always adjust the depth-stop
bolt to prevent the wheel from cutting into the
surface the tool is resting on. Failure to make
this adjustment may result in serious personal
injury.
