IV. GETTING STARTED
Before any intervention on product, ensure that switch is on the OFF position
and that tool's plug is disconnected from the mains power supply.
4.1- Unpacking
- Remove product from its packaging.
- Check that tool and accessories are not damage.
4.2- Assembly
4.2.1- Handle assembly (Fig.3)
Loosen the tightening knob (A9). Open the handle bracket (a).
Fit the handle (A7) onto the power unit main tube (A8).
Close the bracket (a) and tighten the knob (A9).
Note: the handle (A7) should be located as close as possible to the upper black PE foam.
4.2.2- Connecting tube attachment (Fig.4 & Fig.5 & Fig.6)
Initial note: check the inside of the tubes (Main unit tube 8 and cutting attachments tube 2) for any
dirt, grit or aluminium sward that may obstruct smooth connection.
Brand new shaft connectors (1) and tubes (8 and 2) may be a little tight to begin with. Please wipe
clean with a rag and then rub a little oil or Vaseline inside the connectors to ensure easy fitting and
disconnection.

Install the tightening knob (A9) onto the connecting bracket (b) with provided nut.

Loosen the tightening knob (A9) to loosen the connecting bracket (b) on the main tube (A8).
Press the lock button (d).
Align and connect the drive shaft (A10) of the power unit with the drive shaft (1) of the tool
attachment.
Push the tool attachment tube (2) into connecting bracket (b).

Push the attachment tube (2) into main tube connecting bracket (b) until you see and hear a click
from the lock button (d) engaging into the hole (c) on the connecting bracket (b).
Tighten the knob (A9).
To disconnect a tool attachment tube (2) from the power unit tube (A8), loosen the connector knob
(A9), press the lock button (d) and firmly pull out the tool attachment tube (2).
4.3- Grass Trimmer
4.3.1- Safety protective guard assembly (Fig.7+8)
Assemble the protective guard using the three bolts and hex key supplied.
Line up the three holes, fix and tighten the three bolts using the hex-key supplied
4.3.2- Nylon spool assembly (Fig.9)
Mount nylon spool (B5) onto the threaded end of the drive shaft and tighten it.
Remark: use long nose pliers (not provided) to hold the drive shaft so as to avoid it rotating when
tightening the spool.
WARNING! Do not use the line cutting head without the plastic protective guard.
