4.5.1- Starting the engine
STARTING A COLD ENGINE (see Fig.1 & Fig.2)
1. Fill fuel tank and tighten the cap securely.
2. The machine starting should be carried out on a flat, solid surface. The drill bit should not touch the
ground or be surrounded by any object as it starts to rotate when the engine starts.
3. Continuously press the priming bulb (10) until fuel comes in the bulb.
4. Pull the choke lever (2) to "CHOKE ON" position.
5. Set the main switch (8[a]) to "START" position.
- Push the safety lever (8[c]) with the palm of your hand.
- Use the throttle lever (8[d]).
- Press the lock button (8 [b]) to lock the throttle lever (8[d]).
6. Pull starter recoil handle (3) until engine starts.
IMPORTANT: Avoid pulling the starter rope all the way or slackening the handle. These
operations may damage the starter system.
7. Allow engine to warm up for a few minutes before using.
8. Push choke lever (2) to "CHOKE OFF" position.
(Note: excessive cranking with choke lever will cause flooding engine making it difficult to start).
9. To begin work, press the safety lever (8[c]) and then the throttle lever (8[d]).

STARTING A WARM ENGINE

If fuel tank has not run dry, pull starter rope one to three times and engine should start.
If fuel tank has run dry, after refuelling repeat steps 3 through 7 in "Starting a cold engine"
WITHOUT using the choke
Note: Always allow engine to warm up before use by pressing lightly on throttle lever.
4.5.2- Stopping the engine
1. Release the throttle lever (8[d]) to allow the engine to idle for approx. 30s.
2. Set the main switch (8[a]) to "STOP" position.
WARNING!
- Make sure to perform warm up with the drill bit attached.
- Keep away from drill bit as it starts to rotate when engine starts.
- Before starting engine, ensure the drill bit is clear of surrounding objects.
Note: When restarting the engine immediately after stopping it, put choke lever in open position.

ADJUSTING THROTTLE CABLE
The normal play is 1 or 2 mm when measured at the
carburettor side end. Readjust with the cable adjuster
as
required and tighten the screw up.

ADJUSTING IDLING SPEED

1. When the engine tends to stop frequently at idling
mode, turn Idle speed adjuster clockwise.
2. When the cutting head keeps rotating after releasing
the trigger, turn Idle speed adjuster counter-clockwise.

idling speed
