Understand your machine
Read the instructions manual.
Read and understand the manual and labels affixed to the machine.
Learn its application and limitations as well as the specific potential hazards peculiar to
it.
Make sure all users read the instructions.
Operators need to receive necessary training and instruction before operating the
machine.
Never permit a person without training or proper instruction to operate this machine.
Keep this manual handy for future reference
Wear protective equipment
- Wear eye protection! Protect your eyes and face
This machine may throw foreign objects into the air.
Flying debris can cause permanent eye damage or face & head injury.
Always wear protective face shield or safety goggles and helmet.
Note: everyday eyeglasses have only impact resistant lenses. They are not safety
glasses.
- Wear hearing protection! Wear ear protective equipment against noise generated by
the machine.
- Wear protective gloves!
- Wear safety footwear!
Protective electrically non-conductive gloves and non-skid footwear / protective boots
are recommended when working.
Wear protective boots to protect your feet against potential falling materials.
Wear protective gloves to protect hands against debris.
Only the operator may stand within the operating range of the machine. Keep
non-involved persons, as well as domestic and farm animals, out of the hazard
area (min. distance 5m)
Keep visitors and children away
Other people should keep at a safe distance from the work area (at least 5m), especially
when the machine is under operation.
No one under the age of 16 should be allowed to operate the machine.
Any individual under the age of 18 should have the necessary training, skills to perform
the functions properly and safely and should always be under the supervision of an adult
responsible for its safety.
Keep persons (esp. children) and animals away from product and working area.
The machine must always be operated by one person only.
Prevent fires
No smoking in the working area!
Do not smoke or have open flames when operating or refilling the fuel tank.
Never operate the machine near a flame or spark.
Fuel is flammable and can explode.
