_
Slacken the adjusting screw (59) and use a set
square to check that the mitre angle is 90°.
_
Set the indicator (60) to the corresponding value
on the scale (61).
_
Tighten the adjusting screw.
Setting the mitre gauge for sawing straight
cross-cuts (fig. P)
_
Slacken the adjusting screw (59) and set the mitre
angle to 90°.
_
Tighten the adjusting screw.
Setting the mitre gauge for sawing mitre cuts
(fig. P)
The mitre angle is infinitely variable between 0° and
90°.
According to the scale, values can be set from 0°
and 60° left/right.
_
Slacken the adjusting screw (59) and set the
required mitre angle.
_
Tighten the adjusting screw.
Mounting and setting the guide profile (fig. Q)
The guide profile can be mounted both to the left
and to the right of the saw band.
_
Slacken the screw (62).
_
Slide the mounting piece (63) into the guide rail
(64).
_
Place the adjusting screw (65) and the screws
(66) in the mounting piece.
_
Slide the guide profile (67) with the slot (68) over
the bolts (69) to the left or right of the saw band (4)
as required.
_
Tighten the screws.
_
If required, further adjust the guide profile using
the adjusting screw.
Make sure that the guide profile is
guiding as much
of the workpiece as possible.
Beware that the guide profile is not
touching the saw band.
Instructions for use
_
Set the saw band protection to leave just enough
space for the workpiece to be fed along the saw
band.
_
Switch on the machine before the workpiece
makes contact with the saw band.
_
Hold the workpiece with both hands and slowly
feed it along the saw band.
_
Do not exert pressure on the saw band. Allow the
machine
enough time to cut the workpiece.
_
Best results are achieved with workpieces up to
approx. 2.5 cm.
_
Workpieces thicker than approx. 2.5 cm should be
fed along the saw band very slowly. Be extra careful
not to bend the saw band.
_
To maintain optimum efficiency, replace a worn
saw band in time.
Switching on and off (fig. A)
This machine is equipped with a no-volt release
feature.
This feature avoids that the machine is accidentally
switched on when the plug is inserted into the mains
outlet.
_
To switch the machine on, set the on/off switch (1)
to 'I'.
_
To switch the machine off, set the on/off switch (1)
to '0'.
Adjusting the speed (fig. R)
The machine can operate at two speeds. Use the
high speed for cutting thick, firm wood. Use the low
speed for cutting thin, pliable wood.
_
Loosen the handle (15).
_
For sawing at high speed, place the V-belt (70)
over the front pair of rollers (71).
_
For sawing at low speed, place the V-belt (70)
over the rear pair of rollers (72).
_
Tighten the handle.
Before tightening the V-belt, make
machine is switched off and
Lubrication (fig. K & L)
_
Regularly apply a drop of oil to lubricate the guide
rollers on the saw band guides.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The machine does not require any special
maintenance.
_
Regularly clean the ventilation slots.
_
Regularly remove sawdust from the housing and
the wheel case.
